The 2020 election was never about Biden — and we shouldn’t be surprised that the 2024 one isn’t about him either, even if we need it to be to keep Trump out of the White House.
The New Hampshire primary election drew candidates to the Granite State, canvassers to the streets and voters to the polls to divy the 22 delegates available. In the Republican primary, Donald Trump was victorious over competitor Nikki Haley, winning 12 and 9 delegates respectively.
Due to conflict between the New Hampshire constitution and the Democratic National Convention, President Joe Biden did not appear on the New Hampshire Primary Ballot, but a successful write-in campaign resulted in the incumbent receiving 63.9% of the vote to Dean Phillips 19.3% and third-place finisher Marianne Williamson’s 4%.
